Bobi Wine Withdraws Election Petition From The Ugandan Supreme Court, Accuses The Court Of Bias

Ugandan main opposition leader and musician Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu popularly known in showbiz as Bobi Wine has withdrawn his election petition from the Ugandan Supreme Court accusing the the court of been bias.

Bobi Wine contested in the Ugandan 2021 Presidential general elections on the ticket of the National Unity Platform party of which he lost to the incumbent president Yoweri Museveni who was seeking for his sixth term in office.

Bobi and his supporters went through a very ‘tough’ time before, during and after the elections of which many of his supporters are still in police custody.

He filed an election petition to the Ugandan Supreme Court challenging the results of the 2021 presidential elections that was declared by the electoral commission, but he in a couple of minutes ago has announced the withdrawal of the petition from the court stating the court has shown a level of bias.

He also accused the court of been partiality and double standards and declining his request to file evidence. He said he intend to present the case to the Court of the People.
